How it works

One upload, a bigger movie night

When friends host from home, their own connection sends the show to each viewer, which suits a dozen or so people. An official theater moves that work to our servers.

  1. You stream once

Send your show to the theater from the projection room, the same way a host does at home. Your upload only has to carry one copy.

  2. Our server fans it out

The official theater copies your stream to every viewer, so your audience isn't limited by your internet connection.

  3. Everyone gets a seat

Viewers join free from your theater's link, up to the seat cap of the tier you rent.

Seat caps

Pick the size of your house

Each rental lasts 24 hours and has a seat cap, so the theater never gets more people than it can serve smoothly. When it's full, it's full, just like a real sold-out show.

Big nights

More room for your kind of night

Community watch parties

Bring your friends or community together in the same room. Everyone shows up as a character in the seats around you.

Club screenings

Give your film club, society or group a regular place to watch, talk and spend time together.

Celebrations and reunions

A regular, cozy night for your community: lobby chat before the show, snacks at the counter, the film, then hanging out after the credits.

Game and esports viewing

Put the big match on the big screen and cheer together, with room voice so the front row actually sounds like the front row.

Rental questions

When can I rent an official theater?

Rentals are coming soon. Email support@popcornclub.tv with your group size and the kind of movie night you're planning and we'll let you know when they open.

Do my guests need to be Alpha Supporters?

No. Viewers always join free in their browser.

What am I allowed to show?

Only content you own or have the rights to show to your audience. See the terms of service.

Can I host a smaller crowd without renting?

Yes. Becoming an Alpha Supporter ($9.99 once) lets you host from your own device, which suits about 12 people per show.
