Terms of service

Last updated: October 20, 2026

The short version: be kind, only show what you have the right to show, and don't try to break things. Viewing is free; the host license is a one-time purchase with a 14-day refund window.

1. Who we are

Popcorn Club ("Popcorn Club", "we", "us") runs the website popcornclub.tv, the Popcorn Club cinema game and related services (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Who can use Popcorn Club

You must be at least 13 years old, or older if your country requires it, to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you. You may only buy a license or rental if you can form a binding contract.

3. Viewers, hosts and official theaters

  • Viewers join theaters for free in a web browser.
  • Hosts buy a one-time host license that lets them host theaters from their own device and use a theater address on popcornclub.tv.
  • Official theaters are time-limited rentals of a theater on our servers with a seat cap. They will be offered when available and may have additional terms shown at purchase.

4. Your account and theater address

Keep your sign-in details private and tell us at support@popcornclub.tv if you think someone else is using your account. Theater addresses are provided for your use while you hold a license; we may change or reclaim an address that is misleading, offensive, impersonates someone or infringes someone's rights.

5. Licenses and payments

Prices are shown in US dollars on our pricing page and may include or add taxes depending on where you live. Payments are processed by Stripe; by paying you also agree to Stripe's terms for that payment. The host license is a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the hosting features of the Service. It is not a subscription. Refunds follow our refund policy.

6. What you show and say

Hosts and streamers are responsible for everything they share in a theater. You may only show content you own or have permission to show to your audience, and you must follow the terms of any service you share from. You must not use the Service to:

  • show or share content that infringes copyright or other rights;
  • harass, threaten, or discriminate against anyone;
  • share sexual content involving minors, or illegal, hateful or violent extremist content;
  • sell tickets or charge viewers for content you don't have the rights to;
  • disrupt, overload, reverse engineer or get unauthorized access to the Service or other people's devices;
  • impersonate other people or Popcorn Club.

We may remove content, end a show, or suspend or close accounts and theaters that break these rules. If you believe something on the Service infringes your rights, email support@popcornclub.tv with the details and we will respond.

7. Voice and live features

Room voice, screen sharing and video are live. Hosts can moderate their theaters, and you can mute other people. We don't record theaters or voice chat, but other people in a theater could record what they see and hear, so please share thoughtfully.

8. Our content

The Popcorn Club name and logo, the cinema, characters, art, music and software belong to us or our licensors. You may share screenshots and videos of yourself playing for non-commercial and streaming purposes. Everything else needs our written permission.

9. Changes and availability

We're always improving Popcorn Club, so features can change. We work to keep the Service running smoothly but can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. If we make a significant change to these terms we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you before it takes effect.

10. Ending things

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if required by law. If we close the Service entirely, we will give reasonable notice where we can.

11. Liability

To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is", and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived, or liability that can't be limited by law.
