No. Viewers always join free. Only the host needs a license.

Chrome and Edge on a computer give the best experience. Phones and tablets get touch controls in their browser. Hosts sharing a tab or screen need a desktop browser that supports screen sharing, such as Chrome or Edge.

Use WASD or the arrow keys to walk and the mouse to look. Space jumps, Shift hurries, E uses things and Esc opens the menu. On a phone, drag on the left to walk and on the right to look.

Not to watch: pick a name and walk in. Your level and characters are saved in your browser for now, so clearing your browser's storage resets them.

A one-time $9.99 purchase that lets you host theaters from your own device, with your own theater address like golden-ostrich.popcornclub.tv. Hosts start shows from the projection rooms, manage room voice, work the snack bar and can enter staff areas.

We suggest about 12 people per show. Your computer sends the show to each viewer, so the real limit depends on your upload speed. For bigger crowds, see official theaters.

Yes. All four auditoriums have their own projection room and their own show, and people only receive the show in the theater they're in.

Hold V to talk (or the Talk button on a phone). People near you sound closer, voices move as you turn, and other rooms can't hear you. Hosts can switch a theater to Whisper or Quiet when the film starts.

Browsers wait for a click before playing sound. Press Esc, open Movie sound and choose Enable movie sound. You can also pick virtual surround or regular stereo and set your own movie volume there.

Browsers only allow microphones on secure (https) addresses. Theaters on popcornclub.tv are always secure; make sure you allowed microphone access when your browser asked.

Yes. Open the cinema on the screen connected to your TV in TV mode, then scan the QR code with your phone. The phone becomes a controller with walk and look pads, buttons and a Talk button for its microphone.

Cast the browser tab from Chrome, use AirPlay screen mirroring, or plug your computer into the TV.
